A Career with Purpose

As Culinary Director at The Township Senior Living, I approach each day with passion, not just purpose. I face new challenges, hear new stories, and find fresh reasons to feel grateful. I’m excited to share how I arrived in this role, what fuels my dedication, and what a typical day looks like in our community. My work goes beyond preparing meals—it centers on building connections, creating purpose, and making a real difference where it counts.

I became a Culinary Director in senior living after stepping away from the fine dining hotel industry. When COVID reshaped the hospitality world, I sought a more stable and fulfilling environment. I still wanted to create great food and provide excellent service, but in a space where people and purpose matter most.

My background in fine dining helped me prepare for this role. I managed multiple properties, led kitchen teams, and oversaw large-scale banquets. This experience taught me how to handle complex operations, lead with confidence, and maintain high standards. Now, those skills help me thrive in senior living culinary leadership.

Daily Rewards and Lasting Connections

What I enjoy most about this industry is the people. The relationships we form with residents and team members create a sense of extended family. Every day feels like a meaningful gathering, filled with connection and care.

Each morning, I start by visiting the dining rooms and greeting residents. Often, we share a cup of coffee and a quick chat. These moments help me build trust, stay in tune with resident needs, and set a positive tone for the day.

If someone is considering a culinary career in senior living, I encourage them to stay open. This field offers more than just a job—it’s a chance to serve others while developing as a leader. When you give your best and lead with sincerity, the rewards are real and lasting.

To me, success means making a positive impact—whether by mentoring a team member, helping a resident, or brightening someone’s day. At the end of each day, I take pride in knowing I’ve contributed something meaningful. Whether it’s a favorite dish, a heartfelt conversation, or a comforting moment, I’m honored to serve. Thank you for welcoming me into your community and allowing me to be part of your table. I’m truly honored.
